Hate the new tax plan?

I dont trust the Government to provide what the cost of any law will be. They don't do budgets like any business or we do at our dining room tables. The Dems in congress that are complaining about this future Trillion dollar cost didn't care before. In fact Nancy Polosie said something like it was good for the economy. lol

This tax cut should be looked at like a "loss leader". Like when a business has a sale or sells something at a loss to get you to buy other things than the one item that you came in for. The money that business and individuals don't give to the Government in taxes will go somewhere. It will go back to expanding existing business (hiring companies that build new plants - who will hire new workers to build the plants, for example). It will go back to individuals (even if only $40/month) who will spend it on fast food or something. The influx of more people buying fast food will cause those companies to hire more.

This is the "trickle down" that is talked about. It isn't necessarily that more people will get cash (some will), but that there will be more opportunities (jobs).

Lol, trickle down. He said trickle down haha.

How about try this test. Standup with a glass at your feet and pee. Let's see how much that glass fills up?

Factories? Dude we're way past an industrial economy. It's a new economy. And adding 1.5 trillion to our debt and counting doesn't help America's future. Another post talked about education. Where's the investment towards education. Without it we definitely can't make America Great. Just a S***load of Mr. Flim Flam.

Bash the Rich!

Yeah, that's brilliant!

Let me ask: How many poor people higher the masses? How many of the dear socialists hire and pay a far wage?

Celebrate the rich for it is thay that invest in the business that EMPLOY your sorry ass!

Yet it is the socialist do nothings that DEMAND the money be TAKEN from the rich!

I hope you morons that subscribe to the "bash the rich" get what you want!
You will die of starvation! And that is a slow death. Or some of you "brave little boys" will resort to crime and try to take from the so called rich and be shot trying! Better then starving!

Go to your "rich" boss on Tuesday and thank him for the opportunity he gave you!

Now piss off you cry babies!

Oh one more thing - what he Hell is "rich". First. If you have a full belly, a warm place to sleep, a car , AC, and a little walking around money - pal YOU are rich!

Who is rich? You on here,I assume have a Runner, not a cheap car to buy and keep and yet many have invested thousands and thousands in "stuff". Takes a rich man to do that!

So take out your new IPone X, or whatever, and call your buddies to a call for action to bash the rich!

Stop your puny little ass crying and become RICH! Improve your life, Help others,

Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

This thread has been interesting with all the replies. I have heard such talk all my adult life. Some of you as I see it believe what the LSM (lame stream media) says, others see it for what it is.
None of us can change the system you can piss n moan about it all you want.
The only thing we are in control of is where we put ourselves in the food ($$$) chain. To those that think I should be taxed at 70% piss up a rope see what happens, I busted my azz to rise out of poverty. You guy's n gal's 35-40 and younger have no idea what it's like to do without.
I learned a long time ago, you can become one of the haves or stay one of the have nots it's a dog eat dog world believe it or not. It may sound as though I'm not a giving person, wrong, I volunteer for food banks, wounded warrior, habitat for humanity, wilderness volunteers etc.

The bottom line: Make the most out of your lives, let the chips fall where they do. Don't worry about those that are too lazy to grab life by the horns.

Oh almost forgot: Happy New Year everybody!!!

I'm no expert on the tax code, especially in the US.
There has been a lot of talk of the wealthy needing the money so that they can re-invest it in factories and job creation. But isn't money re-invested into a business and into job creation considered deductible?
Therefore not being included in ones taxable income?

Taxation is theft. Whether the red team is up to bat, or the blue team - there is NO DIFFERENCE. As long as the currency we use is PRIVATELY OWNED and not backed by anything BUT taxpaying cattle, nothing will change. Nothing can change. Voting is nothing more than consent. If you vote, you're signing your name on the consent form.

Lowering corporate taxes was the positive here.

Some reality:

We're up to our ears in debt and unfunded liabilities. $150 Trillion +

Let that sink in for a minute.

Here's some stats, real ones, not the ones the media and government report- and constantly change how they report to paint a better picture of our economy:

Inflation, Money Supply, GDP, Unemployment and the Dollar - Alternate Data Series

And here's a good debt clock ticker with other good metrics:

U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

Please check it out before replying to this post.

So we are a runaway train of debt and unfunded liability. We can keep printing paper and propping up this losing nation as long as we are the sole superpower- which means we MUST ensure the petro dollar is pegged to our federal reserve notes, we must massively fund our military and we must play shady geopolitics to continue this dog and pony show.

Or we can make genuine policy change to start back on a virtuous and successful path.

Here's a short list, much more needs to be done but this absolutely needs to be done yesterday:

1) End the war on drugs

2) Divest public education- in so far as allowing vouchers for private schooling for those who wish to utilize it. Force public schools to produce critical thinkers or die off. This means completely changing our education system from top to bottom. The Preussian style system of churning out factory workers is obsolete, but we cling.

3) Deregulate every single area of the market to the most minimum regulation and licensing necessary.

4) Cut the corporate tax rate

5) Term limits for congress. No more career politicians advocating this crony capitalism we have going. We need raw free market capitalism!

6) anyone employing illegal aliens gets stiff penalties. I mean $100K first offense on up to hard jail time.

7) get the unemployed back working. Real unemployment is about 24%, that's insane!

8) reignite our space exploration programs. No more NASA working on global warming, Errr global cooling, errr climate change BS. Pure exploration with the goal of finding and exploiting resources near our planet.

9) gut the federal government. Massive, absolutely gargantuan overhaul. All alphabet agencies cut by 75%.

10) No more aid or money to any other country in this world unless they play ball with trade agreements that are in our favor by a large margin.

11) Get illegal immigration under control. We need to be picky about who we let in. Tangible Skills and the desire to assimilate into American culture are at the top of the list.

12) We need a renaissance in journalism. The media is made up of a bunch of opinion pushing agenda biased talking heads. The press must be held to a standard of ethics that has long been abandoned.

13) Flat tax.And not a flat percentage but an actual flat sum tax for every individual. Pay your share. It's rediculous that there are folks who don't have a dime in the game but still get the same voting power and have equal say over our collective futures when they contribute nothing.

That's a short list. We prop up the world militarily and they talk shit about us every day. Cut them off. Protect yourselves if you hate us so much.

We prop up the world monetarily in every way you can imagine. They hate us in spite of it. Cut them off and force them to play our game or make life hard for the . Berserker style foreign policy.

Reinvigorate the military. It was gutted by Obama and it's a travesty. We need to stop with the PC bullshit and create lean mean men like Smedley Butler who thought for himself and was a true warrior.

Subsidies need to be reighned in across the board. Can't compete and be profitable- innovate and find a way to, your getting cut off.

No more "too big to fail" EVER! Can't innovate and make a profit- die off and others will innovate. We will move forward again instead of stagnating.

We also need to reinvest in manufacturing here in the USA. This can only happen if we deregulate and incentivize companies to do business here.

We need to fix healthcare- and the elephant in the room is illegal aliens. Sure you pay $1.00 for a head of lettuce because Juan is picking it, but then you turn around and pay 100 fold that in taxes and healthcare costs for Juan, all the while he sends his money to his family in Mexico or El Salvador taking it from our economy, and then he starts a franchise family here that further takes advantage of this nations benefits.

I love how juvenile the country continues to be. It's all about red tie vs blue tie, my team is better than your team nonsense, like a damn sporting event. Here's a tip: none of them care, AT ALL. Every bill/law like this is riddled with back-door corrupt dealings to line their own pockets, and believing otherwise is simply naive.

Go red! Or blue, or whatever color f*ckin tie you like. They're all pricks.

The sad part is... Most American's don't give a f*ck about whats going on in politics because they think we live in a true democratic society, which in turn lets the government do whatever they want. And when it's too late, there is no democracy. It's the irony of Democracy. But no one is willing to stand the fight for their opinion. They just side with it, conform the new ideas to their own ideas and keep living.
And...
Most American's only give a sh*t about is their mental well-being of 'winning' and being politically correct. IE: You side with me? We're friends. You don't side with me? You're suddenly the anti-christ who does satanic rituals in your own backyard.

well played,

I live in Kaliforniastan, where trump is considered the antichrist. My coworker hates trump so much that she literally shakes and cries. I asked her how can anyone hate someone so much, and she always says he is a rapist. The conversation usually ends right there....lol.

Not surprised at all...

The highschool I went to cancelled classes, to host a march against the win of Trump, and the repeal of DACA, blocking the city streets and causing a huge backup of traffic. Like good f*cking job.

The day after trump won, almost half the people didn't show up to class. The people who did show were actually Trump supporters, or didn't know what the hell was going on. Most likely, it was the latter.

Excellent post Gunslinger-13.

Figuratively:
This post started out identifying a possible enemy of the US - Foreign.

Your post list indentified the other............. Taxation without representation.

We as voting citizens that unite................... or its gone.

Hope that not too radical.

Don't believe everything you hear.

Yet California continues to have folks from everywhere emigrate to California, we are a power house for employment.

We are far from ideal though. When I retire I will relocate as long as my better half agrees.6

Really power house?

Probably why I keep seeing so many people moving to WA, OR, CO, and TX from CA... and why Seattle and Portland have become dumping grounds of people sick of living in San Francisco.

“The U.S. Labor Department reported Friday that the unemployment rate for African-Americans fell to 6.8 percent in December - the lowest rate since recordkeeping began in 1972. That's an astounding drop from the 8.3 percent black unemployment rate in October 2016, just before Donald Trump was elected president.

Hispanic unemployment was at a near-record low of 4.9 percent in December - down from 5.7 percent the month before the election of President Trump. Additionally, there were four months in 2017 in which the Hispanic seasonal unemployment fell below 5 percent - the only time that has occurred in a single year over the past 44 years.

Asian-Americans, the demographic group that typically has the lowest unemployment rate, enjoyed a 2.5 percent unemployment rate in December - the lowest figure since 2006.

The overall U.S. unemployment rate in December was 4.1 percent, matching the lowest level in 17 years - down from 4.9 percent in October 2016.”

If the tax plan can IMPROVE on these already impressive numbers, then i am for it!! But i am sure the libtards and “BrianSD conservative” will find reasons to complain.

Pro:
California has one of the highest tax revenues of any state, and bigger than some countries.

California has one of the most generous welfare/socialeconomic programs out there.

California is the leader of tech and clean energy, and employs some of the brightest people in the world.

California has one of the best state funded pensions.

CONS:
California has one of the highest homeless populations in the US.

California has one of the highest number of illegal immigrants residing in california, resulting in higher taxes for us citizens, higher cost of living, higher cost of health care.

California can't afford to pay for its generous welfare programs, and relies on federal aid to pay for it

California is one of the most heavily taxed states at the state level. We get taxed for air (business smog credits)....who taxes air, california does.

California pension fund is a tax based fund.....meaning basically its a state funded pyamid scheme, and it requires increases in taxes to prop it up.

California's main source of tax revenue comes from silicon valley.... If you remove silicon valley from california, California becomes one of the poorest staters in the union.

California's tech industry relies heavily on H1 visas, not US trained scientists

California clean energy industry is subsidized by the federal government and through tax revenue.

Income per person is one of the worst in the country if we don't count silicone valley.

California budget doesn't include the pension fund. IF they included the pension fund in the budget, california would be bankrupt. This is why california requires federal assistance..

All of the above is known locally as the "sunshine tax"....but its gotten bad with brown leaving office, and hes more concern with his legacy than paying the bills. I was born and raised in california, I thought it was the best place in the world, that is until I started traveling all over the USA, and I realized how much I hate it here if it wasn't for the weather.

Noice! My wife and I were talking about this just today. Certainly hear a lot of *****ing about this, but I'm not sure its really going to impact people that negatively.... We'll see come tax season I suppose...

The employment opportunities have been available for my entire life, though I've moved several times to follow the money. That is what people of today don't want to have to do. They think the Gubmint (tax payer) should take up the slack.

You've got to look closer at how unemployment is reported and how that has changed over the years.

sgs-emp.gif

Unemployment is reported at 4.1% but t is actually 21.7% when you include people "out of work force for longer than a year".

Barry Obama & CO were nice enough to change how we report people out of the work force for over a year were no longer considered "unemployed" so they could make their failure of an economic recovery plan look better.

You can't take the Federal governments reporting at face value, you have to dig in and see how it's manipulated to get the actual numbers.

Primers and reports to read to understand how the shadow stats are compiled:
http://www.shadowstats.com/primers-and-reports

Doesn't paint a pretty picture. It's why we can't shut off the printing presses and the FED can't increase % rates.

We are artificially propping this nation up at the expense of future generations freedom. We are enslaving our children to massive future debt or the inevitable roll call and non-payment of debt will ensue and what happens then is very much up in the air and open for speculation and discussion.

Gunslinger-13 your spot on with your data and the outcome.
There is a solution to the problem in my mind.
What do you think is the fix?

D - tax and spend.
R - tax cut and spend.

Amazing what people will support as long their team is doing it.
