Hauling on top of a Gobi rack with a 5th gen

I do it all the time, just slide it up there and secure it with ratchet straps. Was thinking about getting some Thule or Yakima mounts but I've found that they aren't really necessary. This is the only picture I have, I've since switched to mounting it right side up and weave the straps through the seat mounts in the boat. That also allows me to move it further forward on the rack.

Just put 275/70/17s on my stock height 2014 LE. Very slight rubbing in reverse when turning. If adding a rack like a Gobi, is it recommended to add a suspension upgrade due to the increased weight?

Suspension upgrade is not necessary. A Gobi rack only weighs about 70lbs

Hey man, I just bought a 4Runner same as yours. I really like your setup, what kind of lift are you running and size tires? I have the trd wheels also and wanna keep them, are you running wheel spacers also?

Unless I'm misunderstanding, other than carrying stuff why else would you have a rack?

Its also where I mount my HAM antennas, weBoost antenna, shovel/axe, awning, tool box's, Solar panel.......

I have carried box's, lumber, firewood, chain saw, luggage, lawn tools like trimmers, etc, fuel cans, just about anything light enough to lift up there...
