Have a 2000 w/180k, looking at 2002 w/200k

Looking to possibly get a second 4Runner... after having my 2000 for the last 6 yrs and upgrading all the major issues, I may swap out a Ford Ranger I have that at 170k is starting to have more issues than I care to deal with...

Wondering if there are any major differences with the 2 years of 4Runners despite both being 3rd Gens... 2000 vs. 2002... Private owner is asking $5000 but gleeful says never replaced the radiator because it hasn't needed it SMH... lol and timing belt was changed at 90k (but not since), so I'm thinking even though Blue Book lists it around 4600-5400 in average to good shape, those two issues alone cost about $1000 just in parts.... so ask $4k?... Probably needs lbj's as well I would guess... any other things I'm missing?

id say jump on it, that's not all that bad, if he would take 2500 maybe. mine was selling for 6000 but I talked the guy down to 3500.

Explain to the guy that you're very experienced with 4runners having worked on one for numerous years, researching them, etc. Essentially make your case and then wait. If someone else is willing to pay more, fine. You have to convince yourself as much as the seller, that your price is the right price.
