Have any of you purchased a grill guard on EBay?

Not sure about the quality versus say.. a Manik.

It won't be anything compared to brands like Manik, Jaos, etc. It's not just the quality of those that bother me, but also the fitting of them. Most, if not all, of those guards don't fit the contours of the truck very well and end up looking ridiculous.

A decent brushguard cost at least $500 or more.. I would go with a Westin, WAGG, or Manik.

like brian said its gonna cost you 500 for a good one, thats how much my Westin cost. a chrome one could run you around 700.

Yeah, but it's strictly for cosmetics. You don't expect that it would hold up in an accident do you?

well heres my experience. I paid descent money to get a name brand brush guard for my 97 runner. I got into a wreck and the brush guard took impact instead of my bumper, resulting in my car being totaled. The bumper could have taken impact, but the brushguard didnt. Therefore, if you plan on getting a brushguard, i say dont spend a ton because unless you are getting one that is a steel bumper and a brush guard, then it has limited functionality and is mainly cosmetics. Just my 2cents.
