Yeah, watched mine because of this thread. ~-13 at idle and LT pretty much 0 at cruising speed, ST bounces around by 1 or 2 % as expected
My Saturn always runs negative fuel trims. -10 to -15 at idle to -3 to -8 while driving.
Mine is pegged at -18%. I might have been OK with it if it weren't for two things: 1. it was right at 0% before the fuel injector change, and 2. fuel in the TB.
Plugging the idle air assist didn’t solve it I’m guessing.
I forgot to report back on that! I disconnected the hose, plugged the hose and capped the IAC valve tube, and drove around.
My LTFT didn't change (even after resetting the ECU). But the fuel in the TB was gone.
Have you noticed any difference in mileage with the new injectors? Or is the 4Runner garaged for now?
That's a bummer, they had real promise. Was really rooting for you that they would work out.
Minor. Just shows us that engineering on the injectors of OEM is as close to perfect as one can get. [ granted clean and fully functional] This really doesn't surprise me. Bummer on loss of $300 though. You also proved once again that it's best to stick with oem parts.You and me both, that's $300 down the drain, let alone all the time and aggravation of figuring out the issue and doing the job twice.
In the end, I'm happy having my OEM injectors back in, it just looks and fells right - and the LTFT numbers don't lie.
Now, that is a valid point.If he had an overdriven supercharger it probably would have been ok
