Have I become a 4Runner snob?!

Yeah I guess I have the smug syndrome a little myself. Two of my friends are big time Nissan fans. So of course when I bought the 4Runner they scoffed at it saying it can't touch the Pathfinder. The 4Runner snob really came out that day. I said the Pathfinder is fine if you want a slightly jacked up passenger car. They now have both "adopted" the 4Runner snob attitude after riding with me a bunch of times through the rocky, muddy paths where we take our atv's. So yeah, that's normal I guess, and it's obviously contagious .

I have it full bore. I'm really, REALLY happy I didn't buy the Pilot that I was thinking about. It was the last 2004 on the lot, 3 days before the end of the year, the thing had every option available, and they would have let it go for something like 11K under MSRP. I was sold, but wanted to drive the Runner first, end of story.

Now I see Pilots on the road and I just hate to think how close I came. I would almost certianly have gotten the thing stuck/broken on some of the trails that I have already been on so far...

On a drive up to Mt. Diablo today with some friends (in my 4Runner of course)...I saw something sad on I680...

An X5 on the side of the road with its hood up...

Sad...so sad.........
