Have my lift...now wheel/tire shopping

I've got a set of LC coils and shocks for the rear, and a set of Bilsteins and Toytec springs up front sitting under the carport waiting to replace the abomination that is "lifting" my truck at the moment. Now, what are the rules of thumb when it comes to wheel fitment and tire size? I'm considering finding some 15's that I like and running 33/10.50's but I'm not against running a 285 (or the largest that will fit) on a 16". The truck has 33/12.50s on it now but it has some crazy negative offset wheels on there too. We're talking 4" outside the fenders and the truck doesn't have flares. I'd like to have some wheels that stuck out a little bit but the roller skate look does need to go. Any suggestions?

I guess the gist of it is, what kind of backspacing and width should I look for to run a 11.5 or 12.5" tire without rubbing on the UCA?

I wonder what the width and Backspacing are on those.

I know the stock 16s are 7" wide and a backspacing of ~4 5/8". Some people have run 285/75-16 on the stockers an no spacers. They are close to the upper A arms. A lot run a spacer with the stock wheels.

im not sure... i had spacers on mine before with 31s then just decided to sell em. then threw on the 33s.

Just old poly spacers that have been on there for who knows how long.

I think 285/75/16's are a perfect fit, they were fine with no spacer on stock wheels but I did a 1.5" a bit later, I have flares though. If you ever want to do the tundra brakes I don't believe 15" wheels clear. Only time they rub is when I jump it.

A 285 measures out to 11.4" so I'm sure I wouldn't have problems with a 33x10.50 if I got stock sized wheels. I'd like to go 16's but I'm trying to keep tires cheap.

I guess my challenge now is to find good looking wheels in a 15. Is there an BS/offset that won't work with stock brakes?

Was looking at these, found a FS thread on a Toyota forum where I guy said they hit is calipers on a 00 T4R...could have had a brake upgrade, didn't say.

I'm looking at a set of Mickey Thompson Sidebiters. They have -30 offset and from my calculations will stick out 2.8" further than factory. I'm trying to decide if that's better or the same as the ones that I have now.

im running some 8" wide wheels with a -10 offset so they have 3.75 BS. I think they are great. the tires dont stick out too much, and the 285's clear the ucas fine
