Have you ran a full taco suspension swap only?

Example Pics

i am replacing my leaking XREAS system with a TACOMA set up like yours. What will the outcome be if I don't replace the rear springs? The front is a complete assembly with the Tacoma springs but I only have the rear Bilstien shock. Do I need to get a stronger longer spring at the back to keep the vehicle 2003 4Runner V8 evenly raised once I install the complete Tacoma assembly up front?
Also I ordered the rear bushing just like every one else here but I do not see much of a difference between the original Tacoma rear shock bushing and the new one except for the metal insert in the center which you have not installed with the rear bushing. Is the original rear shock bolt not able to go thru the steel insert? Any help you can give me is much appreciated. Thanks

I'm not sure where you're at with your suspension upgrade but here are some pics of my recent Taco/FJ swaps. The 1st pic is the Taco swap and the 2nd pic is both the Taco & FJ swap together. I hope it's helpful.
-1st Pic: 2014 Tacoma TRD Off-Road front Strut/springs & rear shocks (Total lift: 1.75") ...............................-2nd PIC:2013 FJ TT rear springs (Total lift: 1")

Since I never posted a picture of my truck after doing this swap, here it is. This is with Taco springs/Toytec 1/2" spacers on the front and FJ springs/Daystar 1.5" spacers on the rear. The ride is very good with this combo.

So... I am gathering some more parts for this lift. Here is my plan tell me if I am missing anything.

I will be going from a full daystar spacer lift to a TRD Sport Tacoma lift with spacers.
I currently have eBay UCAs already installed.

Front:
TRD Coils and shocks the I will be adding another 1.5" spacer to the top to keep 3" of lift.
(This is based off of the reported 1.5" lift the TRD springs provide - THIS MEASUREMENT HOWEVER IS VERY INCONSISTENT!) So who knows what I will actually end up with.

Spacers - Robot Check

New strut top plates and washers/bushings etc. -
Robot Check

Rear:

Tacoma TRD shocks with new lower bushings. I have tried to remove these and have not been able so going to take them to a shop and have them pressed out and new ones installed.

Toytec supercoils
ToyTec "Superflex" rear Coils (FJ & 03+ 4Run)

Then add one of the Daystar 1.5" spacers to the driver side to get rid of the lean.

Does this seem like a plan that will net me 3" of lift front and level to the rear?

Anything else I should consider? Diff drop? Brake lines?

Should I just get a 2" spacer for the front in case the TRD springs only give me an 1" of lift? I really don't want to be below 3" of lift.

V6 or V8? Either way, I'd go with 1" spacer to get 2" of lift.

If the TRD springs give 1.5" and you add a 1.5" spacer ( 3" net lift ) wont that be closer to 4.5" vs the 3" you want?

I found a set of 14 take offs asking $200, I am really considering it. Struts, front springs and rear shocks.

Tomorrow is the day. Right now to play it safe I'm going to go with the 1.5" spacer on the trd springs. Hopefully the TRD springs give me 1.5" of lift. But they might only give 1" of lift which would disappoint.
But I'm out of time deciding.

He's talking about the motion ratio of the shock. A 1.5" thick spacer actually moves the wheel 3" (heavy rounding, obv), thus providing a 3" lift.

Sorry I thought we all knew that I was discussing the lift provided by the spacer since that was the important info not the literal size of the spacer.

I will post pics later.

Well it would disappoint. The spacers I got didn't allow enough clearance for the top plate bolts. So I just installed the shocks and springs solo. Interestingly it maintained the same ride height as my 2.5" daystar spacers. Just tells me how bad my springs at 200k miles were sagging. So I'm trying to find new spacers since the rake is the same as the photo I posted earlier. [emoji49][emoji49][emoji49]

Best looking nautical blue paint I've seen. Tell me your secrets. Mine is so hard to keep clean and has swirl marks :(

No secrets here. That picture makes it look nicer than it really is. With 200k miles on the clock, it has a ton of rock chips on the front end. The right rear quarter panel was damaged at some point and the paint match is a bit off. Looks good from 20 feet or greater.

Did anybody notice in the rear, the Tacoma upper shock centering washer is a smaller diameter than the hole on the frame? So the little lip on the end of the washer could have room to wiggle around in the hole since it's not the same size. Guessing it probably won't since the bushings are torqued pretty good around it but not sure.
