Have you seen this?

Yeah I was just learning about this in school today, I now understand that keeping the crankshaft balenced is more important to the engine then reducing weight on the crank.
 
So what about for city/highway/expedition driving? My 4runner is my go everywhere vehicle. Im not building it for any particular niche, i.e. wheeling. It needs to do everything adaquately. You think this would be a benefit to people like me?

It would still make it more difficult to take off on hills. It would take more RPMs to move the truck. It's my opinion that this would not benefit you. The only way I would put that on one of my vehicles is if it was a car and was built for the track. It's just not worth it to me.
