Well it's been awhile with changes in life and not much time to do things.
Finally found some time to do some up grades, and finish some other items that I have neglected.
Finally had someone bend some tubing for me so I could weld up a ladder on the swing arm.



In addition, bent some additional tubing to make a Jerry can holder that is removable.




Tax time was good. So hooked her up with some Icon 56550 LT shocks. Now I can utilize them Overland coils. Had to put some off set MT trailing arms also. She flexes now.
Changed out all brake lines to braided.

Tires where getting worn out, so up graded to some 315 Cooper STT PRO.
Extended bump stops. Relocated the license plate, and shifted over and lowered the tire carrier. Dayum tire too heavy to lift that high.

Never could get any members with v6, that changed to 886 coils to respond. So I took a chance and picked up a set. Dam near leveled the ride out. 3/3" lift prior.
Over that now in the front. Without having CV binding at full wheel drop.

Of course with these tires, had pinch welds prepped prior, and been cutting up a lot of plastic.

Almost done. Maybe next year will be finished. Yeah right.

Fire Extinguisher Placement

Did you use self tapping screws in the plastic or did you peel it back and through-bolt it to mount the extinguisher holder?

Noticed I never added this to the build. Winter 2014.

Nut and bolt through. 1.5" flat washers on back side, lock nuts.

Well after all the up grade LT setup in the rear, FJ overland coils not working so well. Definitely trying to come out of the buckets.
So another member was so kind to hand me down a set of Dobinsons 677v. Driver rear spacer also.
These things flex!

Now that I have gotten some measurements from stock rides 19" front, 21"rear. I can see how much lift I truly got now. 23.5" front- 4.5" lift, 24" rear- 3" lift. Looks level.
A little harsh ride from the front. So I might have to add some sort of rear spacer in the rear to put some more weight towards the front.

If you want to add a rear 3” that stays 3” with a heavy arse like ours, I have a set of Metaltech Heavy duty LT springs up for sale.

If you need super heavy coil that will keep height check out the Dobinson 701v coils.

Appreciate the offer Bobby. My buddy [MENTION=113049]rochmpr[/MENTION] provided these coils, he also has a set of them also as he tried both. He went with the 701s now for his needs for support.
He said the 677s handled the weight better than the MTs.

I have a full 3" with these, just the 886s in the front w/v6 not heavy enough for them. Figure I lift the back just a little more, should add a little weight to the front and maybe tame them a little more, and would level the ride when loaded down also.
This is still a DD for me, even though I don't put that many miles on it.

Good to hear. Any time. I will have to check the calendar Andy if this weather keeps up, find some time to put th bees springs through their paces.

Well I decided to order a set of steel 1" bolt in spacers for the bucket area. Full 4" lift in the rear now. Front stayed at 23.5" hub to fender, approx 4-4.5" lift
Definitely toned the roughness out from the 886s.

Periodically, I find a few drops of water in the air box from going through small rivers, too much liner cut out. Snorkle out off the question as I tend to go into some really ruff tight spaces in the woods. So decided to do the Cowl install.

Time for some updates, and up grades! Aluminium skids just wasn't holding up to the abuse I tend to give out, so ordered steel ones. Since they where new, decided to add some extra reinforcement to them. I passed my old ones onto [MENTION=87687]LTDSC[/MENTION] as he has none, and he was so kind to pass on his old Gibson muffler. Thank you sir!

This all happened at a mod day I through at my house. [MENTION=157695]theoutbackdream[/MENTION] was kind enough to make a showing, and gave him my OME reinforced lower links. [MENTION=113049]rochmpr[/MENTION] was so kind to come a little early and gave me a hand at predissambling my front end for a regear change/swap.

Changed up to 4.56 gears and through a True Trac in the rear.
And a few of the TW boys came out to help and do some things to there rides also.

I'm putting the 677v in my rig as well. I don't have a rear bumper (...yet) and that's why I was a bit worried about it being too high though and the panhard bar pushing the axles too much to the passenger side.

I do have sliders, roof rack and about 150lbs of cargo though......do you think the ride should be ok, until I get more weight with the rear bumper?

When I did my regear, decided to ad a FJ rear diff cage and ad some 3/16" flat stock on her.
