Having trouble with OEM Audio Plus install

I've watched multiple videos and photo tutorials, but I'm having some trouble getting the equalizer/amplifer installed. Got the battery disconnected, seat removed but can't get it in cleanly. This is taken from the door of the passenger seat:

- I cannot seem to get that middle grey connector unplugged. How does it disconnect?
- I disconnected the white connector, but I've also seen removing the actual white connector housing from the frame it's sitting on for easier access, but it just does not want to slide/pop out!?
- The unit I have seems different from ones I have seen online. It LOOKS like it's mounted upside down, as the lettering is now upside down... but I cannot see how it would fit/hook in the other way?
- I managed to SOMEHOW get the screw in to the frame/unit. I thought I was having issues tightening it, but it has gone through but it just seems to keep spinning rather than tightening the unit to the frame?

It's the weekend, so not sure how much I'll get from OEM directly... hoping people here who have actually done the install might be able to lend a hand!

It was a few years ago when I installed mine. But I do recall one of the connectors being a real pain in the butt to undo. I believe they all have squeezed tabs you have to locate and depress. And they all seem to be different LOL.

I just had another go at it - I absolutely cannot find a way to remove the white connector from the metal frame - which I THINK I could get away with being the only thing I need to remove to access the nut to tighten...

But I also still cannot disconnect that middle grey connector. I clearly don't know how the connection works because while I press what seems like the press area, it just doesn't want to come apart!

It's done just about here:

and I have no clue how the whole connector piece seems to just magically come off so easily
