All right let the laughing begin. I just bought a '96 from a friend of mine. A true project truck. Tons of rust, sound motor, need I say more. Anyway while he is showing me the ins and outs of the truck including the special procedure to start it, as in you have to hold the key fob near the panel next to the gear shift, and upon hearing a beep you are free to start. Wow talk about a prolonged start process. He then tells me that this is an after market installation, easy to get rid of etc. So...I get rid of it...by cutting the wire. Yep you guessed it now the truck wont start. Aargh!!! So today I start to do a little digging, take the panel off below the steering wheel, and only then do i see that this is a little more complicated than what I thought. I'm hoping for the best...disconnect a few wires, reconnect a few and bingo the truck starts back up. NOT. I'm pretty much down to the last two wires. I connected them logically. Still no luck. So now I need help to figure out this self made debacle.
