Head Gaskets

So i just bought a 4 runner and put it all back together (was 1/2 taken apart) started it up and it ran beautiful, until i added water. pours into the #6 cyl and starts to miss and then the water fills up the crankcase. How difficult is a head gasket chance on these? or am I better off swapping the motor?
