Head light problem

After being detailed, I was told that both head lights filled with condensation on the inside of the head light when washing it. Stated the seals must be gone. On both head lights!! WTF!?
Anyone have this problem? Do you think it would be covered under 5/60 warranty? 50K on it now. Looked on the toy parts site and it lists a seal for the head light assembly.
This is not what I wanted to hear. What next....Also, the rear shock housing is rusted right through and it looks like one shock is seeping, possibly two, can't tell for sure. This is unacceptable for a 3-4 year old Toyota..... My 05 V8 sport didn't have any problems. I guess at least I don't own a dodge product...

Bring it back to Toyota...that's unacceptable.

If they don't warranty it...you can always take the headlight housing off the vehicle, bake it in the over to heat up the adhesive on the headlights, open it, wipe the headlight dry & reseal the headlights.

Usually you can reseal the headlights w/ the existing adhesive...but if it won't, just get some Silicone from your local Auto Parts store.

Unfortunately, it's covered by the bumper to bumper warranty for 3yrs/36k. But it doesn't hurt to take it to the dealer and see if they're willing to cover it as a sign of good will.

I'm going to attempt the dealer. I almost want to just replace with 06 head lights. Anyone have a link? For some reason, I can't find it. I know a few have tried this conversion.

The 06 headlight assemblies have a slightly different shape at the bottom of the asembly. About halfway along the bottom of the assembly the lens swoops up a little to where the 03 to 05 headlights are fairly a straight line across the bottom

Yeah I was wondering if that piece across the bottom would fit also? If it does, it would look factory. I have to do more searching....

You can always call the customer service number on your Toyota book and convince them to cover it. What do you have to lose? They can always say nay or yay.
