Head unit upgrade questions

Seeing as the 6th gen will not be out until '23 or beyond I am thinking of upgrading my stock head unit to something that has Apple CarPlay.

I have the standard stereo (no nav) in my '10. I am not a huge 'audio guy' but do like tech features.

I do use my sat radio but it seems the ones I look at say I will lose my factory sat radio ability, are there any that will allow it to continue?

I do not want anything too large for a screen, just appropriate for the size available.

Has anyone installed an aftermarket H/U they are happy with and still retain most/all functions?

You can get a SAT capable unit but the OEM SAT receiver is attached under the OEM headunit. There's an adapter to make the OEM SAT antenna to work with a aftermarket headunit.

As far as headunit selection goes, everyone is going to have a different opinion on what they like. I've had bad luck with Pioneer and better luck with Kenwood. I also wouldn't touch the China ones T9 or whatever even though they do look the best.
