headlight glass chips?

Thanks in advance for any and all help. I bougth my 4R last week,it 95 sr v6 4x4 very nice looking truck, seems to be in very good cond. had it checked at local toy. dealer and did carfax.but after getting it home an waxing,I saw water in pass. side headlight looking closer saw small chip in glass cover, should I replace this or can I repair?

I'd probably replace it -- you would need to get all the moisture out before you can repair it, and that could be tough to do.

The old owner may not have even been aware of it. It's amazing sometimes how oblivious people can be.
 
not as un-common as you think. remember the older cars (some new ones do it also) that the rear brake lights had water slushing back in forth in the assembly. headlights is more a rarity since the lights dry out the moisture at nite, unless it splashes the bulb, then instant bulb failure.

you could dab some clear epoxy into the hole as a temp solution until you can fix it. so you dont fight a losing battle with moisture collecting in the housing during the wee morning hours or during rainstorms.
