Headlight lens Inside metal piece reflector?

All,
REN 81110-35230 Does anyone know what the metal piece inside the Glass dome is? I'm trying to figure out what it is.. Maybe some kind of reflector? it's attached with screws to the rear of the housing.

Or if someone knew where i might find a better photo from a Manual i might be able to figure out what this this does.. and if i still need it in it's current configuration.

The chrome part around the bulb? That's definitely the reflector.

My Question is that if i have a bulb like this one.. will that reflector get in the way(light wise) of the LED bulb(keep in mind that the LEDS are on both sides of the bulb.

The metal shroud you are referring to is called a bulb shield and it's also to block waste light from creating glare for oncoming drivers. Don't remove.

Leave it in place, just like stock Halogen bulbs have painted tips you will be fine with that LED bulb.

Looks like only part of a bulb shield. You shouldn't be able to see through it from the back...

I was able to take the photo from the engine compartment looking forward. Looks like the same on the Driver side too.
