So how did they wire the LED daytime running strip? Do you still get hyperblink like when we put LEDs as our highs/DRLs?

Can't asnwer the question on how they wired up the LED DRL, but neither the Highs or DRL's will cause the blinkers to hyperblink.

Unless I missed something in the original post (just went back to double check) that they changed the blinkers to LED...

I guess hyper blink was a bad way to word it. Maybe flicker would work better. Like for instance since the 4runners High beam/DLR is set up to run halogen it pulses electricity slower then an led DLR would to keep it dimmed down compared to the high beam brightness. Since led heats up faster then Halogen you notice the bulb flickering because of those electric pulses. Its highly noticeable with leds in the DRL spot on the 4runner. If they wired it up to work factor with the drl switch then I imagine it would still have flicker?

Hey kids,

I cannot stand the headlights on the 5th gen. Why toyota thought a 40k truck needed just halogens is beyond me. Especially one that's meant to navigate treacherous areas. On top of that corollas and tacomas just have better lights. So I've always wanted to modify them. Couple that with how terrible the chrome housings look on cement, with the trd emblems, it's just plain bad.

So i went to my friends at Circuit Demon, and they went to work. I didn't want anything egregious. Just clean, understated, and frankly if the quality id hope for for 45k.

I took a couple quick phone pics. I've got some better shots I gotta get off the camera. But honestly I was just so excited.

They;
-paint matched the housings and blacked the rest. No more chrome.
-upgraded the projectors to bi-xenon
-upgraded high beam to LED
-added LED accents for DRL
-removed ambers.

They could do so much. Etch logos etc. I just wanted what looked like it should belong.

They can do your lamps for you too. Check them out on IG @circuitdemon tell them I sent you.

This is exactly what I've wanted to get done, I have a Cement as well and will be contacting them for a quote. I live in California so hopefully it can be done somehow.

Not trying to bump a dead post, but I've used this so many times when showing people what we can do with 4Runner lights over at Circuit Demon and just wanted to give Tony a huge thank you for posting this!

Now if only I could get Jeff to do my headlights...:bravo:
