Projector: TL bixenon......... why? Very wide beam pattern, arguably still one of the best today.
Shroud: Apollos.................why? Only shroud that would fit. I love them!
Bulbs: Osram CBIs @ 5000K...why? PURE white light.
Ballasts: Densos @ 35W........why? OEM spec.
Where to get? ..........The Retrofit Source........ Why? You get what you pay for. Period.
Going on 3 years with my retros. The best mod I've ever did. (so far)

Doing same setup next week, but I'm getting the 3five ballast instead. That extra 90 will break my bank but I'm getting the XB bulbs uograde, can't wait.

Actually, it looks like you have an upgraded setup all together. I'm looking more at this one:

But adding the XB bulbs and the Apollo shroud from the B stock on sale for $10, probably going to paint them anyways.

Not hijacking the thread (Az4runnin), at least not intentionally, I just don't want to start a whole new threat for just a question in regards to the topic. What is the nomenclature/size of the side marker bulb. I know it's just like the interior bulbs and license plates but what is its nomenclature? going to replace them during the retrofit with LEDs, which one of this is it, 194 Wedge or 921? thanks

Here is mine, did it long time ago. I was trying to achieve devil eyes look by painting projector cut-off shield in red. It looks like projectors are glowing red from certain angles when they off. Five years now since I did this retro I still very happy about performance on road.

Your retro-fit (DIY) thread inspired me to go for it. Although I had my retros done, I would love to DIY when the time comes. Anyway, I can't drive a car (that is my own), that doesn't have retros. One becomes very spoiled.

What you see is the work of Jay at Lightmodz (in New Jersey). Great guy and QUALITY WORKMANSHIP! I don't know what he is charging nowadays.

Not to hijack. I got an email back from TRS about the FX R Bi. with the 3five bulb and shroud came $200 out the door. Standard low beam with an RX or TSX is $275. What's everyone opinion on the FX R? I already have the PNP HID which is somewhat getting attention from other drivers. I did lower it a bit but I still occasionally get flashed. Light output is phenomenal with no hotspot and much wider than stock. I don't want to aim any lower as it takes away the purpose. So I want a projector but not go overkill on it.

What size and brand AE's? You have to match the AE to the shroud, right?
