Headlight Retrofit service suggestions

Anyone have a reputable company or service that they have used to retrofit their headlights? I'm looking for a good recommendation, I'm not sure if the ones I've looked at online are worth it.
I'm located in Colorado, not that it matters, but just in case there is a company in Denver or somewhere I'm not aware of!

I agree with [MENTION=51186]philsey[/MENTION] , #Lightwerkz all the way. I've technically have done 3 retros done with them. I may have a 4th one next year (to replace the one on my daily driver, which works and looks great, it's just that I'm spoiled). Like previously mentioned as well, it's not cheap. Customer service is top notch.

I've got a 4th gen Sport, 2006.
I actually contacted Lightwerkz last night and they quoted $565 for the labor and also gave me a quote for paint, TL-R projectors, and Halos. Doesn't seem TOO outgageous for what kind of work they do. Not sure if I can be without headlights for 2 weeks. I was thinking about buying some used headlights on eBay and shipping that set to Lightswerkz.

You only have two choices, wait out the two weeks (don't forget about transit time) or buy spares.

I've always bought aftermarket spares and sent them in. Be careful of eBay, many lights sold on there have been removed from wrecks and repaired - not good.

Then I've sold the takeouts on here. You might find some that way.

Also, buy top quality componentry, stick with 4300-5000K and 35 w. parts.

You'll love it.
 
i would vouch for lightwerkz, seems like they are a better retrofiter service.
i used one of there competitor , blackflamecustoms, they do a decent job, but the lights they used for my dad's tacoma, the clear coat is peeling off. i guess its the cheap headlight they used.
check out headlight junkies on facebook, pretty sure there is someone who is local to you and do a good job.
 
I've been entertaining a retrofit myself, so thanks for the thread and input lol

I was thinking about buying a set of aftermarket (or used) headlights and swapping them with my current headlights. That way I could send my OEM setup out for retrofit since I know that they're good. Then swap them back out and sell the aftermarket/used afterwards

Just my idea, so I net retrofit headlights that I know are in good houseings lol I'm weird like that
 
That's not a bad idea at all, just buy some cheap new aftermarket headlights to get by for the couple weeks the OE headlights are being retrofitted!

Yep, that's pretty much what everyone does when their lights are being worked on. I always throw them back on ebay or see if the seller will take them back.
 
2015 4R Headlights

I love my 4R but the headlights suck. This is even after replacing the original with 45 watt LED's from Xenon. (see attached) I had a 2007 Murano with HID projectors and they were the best lights I've had in the last 30 years of cars. My wife's 2016 Corrola has LED's and they are also great lights, but my 4r stinks.
I suspect Toyota missed something in the design of the projector. I'm to the point of buying Corrola housings and retrofitting them into the 4R.
Any comments would be appreciated.

4runner lights are decent, even with the hid plug and play, its decent, when you use leds, they just dont give the same performance as hid. there is a thread that a user used leds and went back to hids, the pictures tells it all, leds in halogen projectors is not good at all.

There are many lighting threads over in the 5th section. Generally, LED headlight bulb replacements have not had good results.

As to your Corolla comments, I'd be very surprised if those fit. If you're willing to go this route, your best results are doing a retrofit into stock headlights. Especially true for 2014+ as they have a unique-sized headlight. Several 2014+ owners have used Lexus IS HID projectors, as they fit. I'm in the process of this now.

Yes, they do great work and stand behind their product. I sucked up at least a few hours of technical support after receiving mine and Pavel was extremely patient and helpful. They left out one option that I had requested and offered to build a new set and let me hang on to the ones I had already received until the arrived. I would definitely use them again unlike some of the others that I have used like OSS for my BMWs.
