Headlight upgrade

They don't fit your truck in its current setup. You would have to back date your frontend to the 90-92 p/u or t4r. They make replacement bulbs for your lights. Just be careful because some of them draw a ton of amps and will melt your wiring harness

Have you tired just changing the bulb? I got a set of HB1 6000K 60/45W bulbs, that I have not installed yet, from ebay for something like $5 shipped. I still have a similar 4000K 55/45W I got from Performance Products a long time ago.

Also check to see if your headlights are aligned properly.

I changed bulbs. It was better than what I had but out on the trail it was weak. But I guess that's what light bars are for

They are aimed great and they work fine for DD. Off the pavement I will just need more

Two years ago I did a similar upgrade the headlights in my 1986 4Runner because I was routinely driving on the back roads in Pennsylvania at night and early morning. I decided to buy a pilot 6054 conversion kit (part # WI-HL5A) and put in PIAA H4 Xtreme White Plus bulbs. For driving at night on the road the improvement was very noticeable and am glad I did the upgrade.

Although I am happy with the outcome. If I was to do it again I would get the conversion kit from Rampage or Vision X instead. The Pilots have plastic lenses and Rampage and Vision X use glass. I have not had any issues but expect over time the plastic may yellow.
