Heads are off, should I clean pistons?

I blew a head gasket and after a good fight with a few bolts, I finally have the motor apart and the heads off. I'm taking the heads to a shop to have them checked out. The furthest back piston on the passenger side was as clean as the day it was installed (I'm guessing this one was where the gasket failed) I'm wondering if I should clean up the other pistons/cylinders while I have access, any recommendations?

I now have a second question. I'm probably going to order a head gasket kit, head bolts, timing belt, and water pump from Rock Auto. They have several options for each item. I understand Fel-Pro is good so probably going to go with them on a gaskets kit but does anyone have recommendations for timing belt and/or water pump??

Personally I wouldn't worry about it, just from my opinion.

I used to run a "fleet" of dirt bikes (usually Honda 125s) and I remember on one occasion I seized a nearly brand new bore/piston. No more than 2 hours on it, but when I removed the head, the piston was black as night. Curious, I did the same thing with my other bike, meaning I took the head off despite it had maybe half an hour on it, and same thing.

Carbon can build up really quickly, and I've never noticed a difference after cleaning my pistons off vs not doing so, at least on my motorbikes.
