I found out why RockAuto does not have a kit for the 2003 4L.
Well – we don’t have a “kit” on the 2003 as there was some supersession issues from Toyota on the tensioner - 3 months of 4 Runners use a tensioner (1662031010 OR 1662031011) that required a modification kit available through the OE dealer – if you have either one of these numbers we do not have a replacement – check for numbers on your old one to determine this.
That was from Gates . Is the modification the washer?
I should add that they do have kits but not from Gates who appear to be popular vs Continental.
