Heads Up On A 4Runner For Sale

Hey guys I just wanted to give my fellow members a heads up if anyone is looking at the 1999 Highlander 5 speed that's for sale in Houston. It's my old 4Runner and wanted to be honest since the person selling it is not. The timing belt was not replaced at 185 like stated, it was done at 125. It also needs brakes, LBJ, ITR, OTR, and possibly a throw out bearing cause it squeaks pretty bad when it's running. Also the clear coat is starting to go on the roof. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up in case someone is thinking of picking it up. Here is the link to the for sale ad

That is my Favorite color and pretty good looking inside, wonder how it looks underneath the skirt? For that $, folks s/b coming from NYC or WA state, amazingly (almost too good) low price?! :cowboy:

There is some surface rust underneath and I would recommend driving it to WA cause the tires are dry rotted pretty bad.

Why am I not surprised about the dealer fudging up the numbers, he wasn't even close! Another reason why to baseline your 3rd gen after buying it.
Phd, did you get another 4R, that's why for the ad?

That is a pretty decent price, what did they give you for it? I'm guessing about $3500...

Ya I have a 99 limited that is in much better condition than they green one was. The green one needed a lot of work and barely had any maintenance records. My 99 limited had tons of records on Toyota service.
