Hi,

I live in Canada, can I call Shaun and still get the same deal or is his only for the US. What form of payment do they accept, Visa I assume. What is the max milage the 4R can have before they won't accept it without a major check over. How would the taxes work for that, would I still need to pay state taxes. Has anyone n canada purchased this plan from the US.

Suggest that you call Shaun and find out for certain. Having done some international business, though, I think it's doubtful. Toyota Canada and Toyota USA are two separate companies.

By the way, the vehicle has to be in warranty to buy the extended warranty.

I'd like to know how the vehicle mileage is verified over the phone?

Y'know, I'm curious about that too. Normally you take the car to a dealer and they probably verify. Buying a warranty over the phone means there's no way to verify it.

Do you perhaps have to take the car to a dealer for verification before the waranty becomes active?

Just want to say thanks to all of you, especially Shaun McKinsey for providing us such deals on the extended warranties. I just bought the 7/75 Platinum Warranty from Shaun for $583. My local stealer wanted $1200 for the 7/100 (and didn't even offer a price on the 7/75).

Furthermore for those that might consider buying an aftermarket 3rd party warranty, let me just say... speaking from experience... DON'T!... I just discovered last week that my extended bumper to bumper warranty I purchased for my i30 from "Warranty Wizzard" 3 years ago is worth nothing!... the company went bankrupt and I only discovered this when my starter went out last week...

Lessons Learned - Stick with factory warranties only, and shop for them on-line through reputable dealers... Thanks again Shaun!

I am still within 36K on my 4Runner, so I have not purchased an extended warranty yet. When I purchased one from a dealer in Iowa for a Ford product, they just asked how many miles were on the car, and I told them. Now with computers, if you car has been in to a dealer they can look it up. I guess they could then calculate approximately how many miles per month/year you are driving. I told Ford the truth. I believe in karma.........

Usually there is a grace period after you've purchased the extended warranty (3-5 days) where you can get a refund from the stealer for the extended warranty purchase. I didn't do that when I investigated mine. I was still on the original factory warranty and that's when I contacted Shaun for his deals.

You have 60 days to cancel the warranty. I've asked about cancelling and repurchasing the warranty for my Tacoma and I was told it's not possible.

I am considering the extended warranty for my 2005 Limited 4Runner. This past year, warranty covered a sensor for my rear air suspension and a problem with the sunroof.

Toyota Canada wants about $2100 for the 6 year, 100,000 mile package, with a $200 premium addition due to the mileage on my vehicle. Until th end of Jan, they are waiving the additional $200 fee.

Considering the US and Canadian $ are about on par, seems us Canadians are paying a premium price!
