Heater Issue

My heater selector for some reason only goes half way to the hot side. it goes all the way to the cold side tho. i switched it to all the way cold and looked at the heater valve, it was at about the 6 o'clock position, turned it as much as it goes to the hot side and the lever on the valve was at about the 8'oclock position. could this be the problem with why hot air takes forever and a day to start coming out of the vents? and if so, how do i fix it? thanks

Sounds like your Heater control is broken. I have a used one with all three cables. $25 plus shipping. Will fix all your problems.
