I don’t understand why the 891s are rated for more load than the 906s but not progressive like the 906s. I’m sure I’ll have a constant weight of 600 pounds in the rear. Everyone still recommending the 906s? I’m pretty much sold on the 4600s and stock springs in front but now considering 891s in the rear. Anyone have a site or link to some front springs with a 2 inch lift to somewhat match the height of the rear?

Just keep your front springs but use the 5100s. That way you can adjust the front ride height. Or get a set of the 99 tall front springs on the 5100s.
Either way I’d suggest trying the rear 906s first with the weight before buying stuff for the front. You won’t be at +2 inches with 600 lbs back there. They don’t squat a lot, but 600 lbs is going to bring it down.

Brother everything is getting changed, even things that donÂ’t need to be changed. ItÂ’s a work vehicle and canÂ’t afford for it to stop while IÂ’m on the go; which is why IÂ’m trying to figure this suspension out because I donÂ’t want to be mucking around with it for a while.

I see a set of 2880 or 2881 on the Bilstein site for the front they cost about the same as the oems. Here’s the link Front OME Coils for 95-04 Tacoma & 96-02 4Runner. Those paired with the 5100s and 906s in the rear. ���� Sound good guys?

Just make sure the lower ball joints are OEM. Take your risks/chances elsewhere. :cheers:

Just get any spring or suspension combo you prefer and add air bags. I have ran many suspensions on my jeeps and 4runner and none have held up to heavy hauling abuse like the air bags. They keep you level at any loads and can be aired down to as little as 5 psi to not be fully functional. You CANNOT go wrong with bags. They take all the guess work out of springs.
Even if you installed them and never had to air up then its always better to have em and not need em than need em and not have em.
Weather plays no role with them either. They are just like tires, air em up as needed.

Like the gentleman said, airbags airbags airbags. I used them on my Tundra which I tow 10,000 pounds alot with. Airbags will not change my ride quality but allow me to air up according to the weight of my load. They work equally as well on the little loads that my 4 runners occasionally see and on the 4 runner they are very cheap and easy to install.

Google airbags or go to amazon and search for Firestone airbags. Those under 100.00 and are very easy to install and to air up or down according to your needs.

Firestone airbags did not fit well inside my OME891 - they were too wide, and also weren’t tall enough so they really didn’t work well for me at all.
The Airlift 60743 has a spacer that you can put in which works much better for lofted springs
