height shift knob

Hi,

Just want to know if it's possible to down a little bit a shift knob

I just receive the TRD and I love it but it's sit a little higher than the OEM one.

It's possible to down the shift knob whitout cut the shifter rod ?

it looks like it can be go down but stop with the thread

I would like to down the shift knob by approximatly 1 inch

Wow funny you say that! I just did this today with a new trd black and red TRD shift knob!

Required will be a 8mm x 1.25 thread die, wd-40, and a saws-all or similar electric saw....start by cutting new threads one inch past original threads, make sure to work die back and forth! No more than one turn at a time without backing off and cleaning out. Once you reach one inch, cut the excess off but do that with your die still below the cut. Then simply back your die all the way off and spin on your new "short throw" TRD shift knob!

Can you still shift all the way back to the 2D position?

Yes, actually the new knob was maybe 1/2 to 3/4" shorter anyways so you have more room to work with anyways..
