I just want to thank the people who have contributed to this forum! I just bought a 2000 T4R SR5 with 152K last Sunday. Thanks to 4-Ripcord, the buyers guide and others I immediately ordered a tranny cooler and installed it yesterday. The tranny cooler ports in the old radiator nearly fell out when I attempted to get the old line off of them. I just installed a new radiator today and am flushing the coolant now. Crystal clear!
I think I narrowly averted a milkshake with my first 4Runner. I can't thank you forum contributers enough. I would never have done the oil cooler without reading these posts.
I'm going throught the rest of the maintenance items as snow and cold allow.
