But please dont hold that against me.
This is the finale of a yrs worth of research, both here on this forum and in other places. I was going to buy a GX470, but then i got wind of that pesky air suspension replacement thing...so i figured why not just go for the new-hotness.
Walked into a toyo dealership looking for a 3rd row 2010-2012 T4R...hoping for a good deal. When they say go at the end of the month, they mean it. They see i have good credit and know what i want, plus loan docs showing i am pre-approved. BOOM!!! they drop the price down on a left over demo 2014 Runner to just $1K more than the 2011 i was eyeing. a little back and forth, and i am driving out with basically a brand new truck, 20K miles on the clocks, and thanks to toyota wanting to give the SR5s all of the bells and whistles...ive got nav, entune, but missing a moonroof and a couple odds and ends that i could live without anyway. Kids love the 3rd row, more room back there than i thought -- my 5-9 frame fits just fine. I knew this thing was solid, but its tank-ish really. i love that. the wife loves its solid feel, sitting up high, and good power. Winter is coming, so we'll see and enjoy any snowfall we get this yr.
My plan is to add a few accents to break up the super-white...a smoked bug deflector, smoked window rain deflectors, and drive myself right into 200K miles over the next decade or two.
I look forward to learning from the wealth of information that this board shares.
