just bought a 2004 2wd 2004 4runner SR5 for my son and plan on giving to him for christmas. has 132000 and feels like new.
did a bg transmission service, coolant service, throttle body service, and rear end service. changed out the power steering fluid and put in mobil 1 synthetic high mileage and new toyota filter. was previously owned by 84 year old couple who had original plastic on floor and toyota factor seat covers on all seats. has a brand new battery, wiper blades, and michelin ltx tires. i drive a titan and the brakes are like a sports car. brakes on toyota seem a little like you have to push twice as hard for similar effect, but told this is normal. have new husky mats in boxes to give to him for xmas to make it even more fun.
my first toyota and just need to know is there anything else i need to do before christmas to make sure im giving him a reliable and safe vehicle that will last for college. he will be 16 in november so christmas seemed like a great time to give to him. all suggestions will be read and appreciated. coolness factor is great, so suggestions in that department are also appreciated. did order the wing already with light and will give also for christmas. thanks in advance for all your help!!!
