Hello, I've got a 2017 TRD Pro and a 1983 pickup currently. I'm not a stranger to Toyotas, I had a '96 FZJ80 for awhile that I LOVED, and I've had two Tacomas. I always liked the 4Runner, and after selling my 80, I really missed having an SUV so I traded in my Tacoma for a TRD Pro. I feel like the 4Runner has picked up where the old 80 series Landcruisers left off, in terms of an incredible off road capable vehicle right off the showroom floor. It's still no Landcruiser, but I'm very happy so far.
My FZJ80 had a 2.5" OME lift, 285/75/16 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZs, ARB front bumper with WARN 9500lb winch, Custom built rear bumper with tire carrier (built myself), Rocky Road sliders, CDL, ARB air compressor, some awesome PIAA driving lights, and a Garvin roof rack.
My pickup has a 4" skyjacker lift, 35x12.5x15 Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTCs, 5.29 gears with air lockers front/rear, ARB high performance air compressor, high steer with trail gear six shooter knuckles, trail gear front bumper, custom sliders and rear bumper, IFS brakes and calipers, '93 Acura Integra bucket seats, tuffy locking center console, tube doors, and no sway bars or steering stabilizers (still goes 70 down the highway just fine). Still needs some things, it's a work in progress. Would like to build an exo cage at some point.
