Hi everyone!

Ive been lurking around for a least a month and finally got my account activated so I thought Id say hello to everyone. :hello:

Ive REALLY enjoyed reading about and watching people turn their 4Runner into everything they want it to be!

Ive been driving a 92 2nd gen for EIGHTEEN YEARS! 140k miles now. My compressor got a crack about...10 years ago, and I never fixed it because I was heading out of very hot Texas and up to Chicago where I knew I wouldn't care about it much. Life brought me back to Texas last summer and holy hell I had a hard time surviving summer, but I didn't want to spend the money to fix it when I knew it was time for me to upgrade to a 3rd gen 4x4. I love my car so much, and I just cant imagine driving anything else. I don't like what they did with the body changes into 4th gen, so I had my eyes narrowed immediately on what I wanted to save for.

Soo....I saved and saved and saved and searched and FINALLY found my new car a couple of weeks ago. I got a 2002 Sport edition 4x4 in Thundercloud out of Denver and she is on the transporter as we speak due here in a few days.

Ive been dreaming of this for a loooong time - I was a dirtbiker for most of my life but I'm old now, so I'm looking forward to getting back in the woods again in style.

Thanks ahead to all the people that have shared so much insight on their experiences in upgrading and modding. Im looking forward to putting some of the write ups to use

Welcome back to Texas from DFW. Nice looking runner. Does it have a body lift? I looks like the front bumper is at a slight angle from the fenders which would be typical of a mild body lift without lifting the bumper. Might want to check when you get it. Enjoy. I love my 02 limited which was all stock when I got it two years ago, but now after spending around $$$$$$$$, it looks a little different. It is like a disease or addiction doing the mods, just when you think you have done all there is to do, you read some post on here about what someone else did, and then you have another idea of what to do yet again.

Thank you everyone! I was thinking the same thing Manhunter - but if you notice the body bracket under the drivers headlight is also missing - I think it got whammied....but what a great surprise it would be if it was lifted a bit already! It DOES look like its sitting a bit higher than stock. :bravo::bravo:

I read a thread in the 3rd gen forum I think about a bracket to fix that. I just cant wait for it to actually ARRIVE. Hoping I don't have to sink the rest of my wad into maintenance, but...even if I still came out a champ on the deal.

Freaking beautiful. I love the silver bezels on the interior of the sport. I love the sport only cloth interior fabric, and this is the only neutral color it came in which I also think is quite sexy. PLUS really...how often do you see the port option of the color keyed nerf bars?!

Not to mention the scoop envy is licked right off the bat :cheers:
