I just joined the forum. I'm investigating the purchase of either a new 4Runner or a young used Land Cruiser within the next 12 months. I thought reading actual owners comments and gripes should give me a good perspective. I currently drive a V-8 AWD Explorer LTD.

Welcome to the forum. For looking at new and used SUV's I would also suggest www.edmunds.com . They have forums on the Land Cruiser and the 4Runner. It's primary focus is on people buying SUV's and the problems they have.

Land Cruisers are much harder to find. I think they only sell 300 new models or so each month. Buying a used one is probably a smart move. Some Toyota dealers won't even have one on the lot. Still they are the undisputed King.

Hi, and welcome to the site.

Hopefully, we will see some pics of your new 4runner in the near future...and if you do get a used Land Cruiser, we would love to see pics of it too! We don't discriminate among Toyota siblings.:cheers:
