Help - ac noise is driving me crazy

I'ts been a hell of a few days. the idiots at the shop said I needed my evaporator core replaced (AC off on drivers' side, cold on passenger, no dual control). When I got the truck back, screws were different than the ones before and stripped, the glovebox was loose, panels were unsecured and the dash had a gash in it. Long story short, I got a new dash (yay) and all the damage was fixed at the shop's expanse. However, my AC, when I got the truck, was making an almost hissing sound for about 1-2 seconds, then 3 seconds off or so then more hissing. I sent it back and they put in a different evaporator core and replaced some other components. Now, the thing still hisses and has a faint, high-pitched whistle when it hisses. The AC is cold, but I can hear it when the radio is on and I'm gonna go crazy!! The hiss goes away when the AC is off, but the whistle continues with the fan alone.

whistle might be coming from your blower... i heard putting some WD-40 on it helps...

The blower is located directly below your cabin air filter. Let me know if that fixes it.

NOTE***: your car may smell like wd-40 for a little bit.
