HELP!!!! BFG A/T's or Pro Comp M/T's 31"???

Ok so I'm getting some new rims/tires and I have 15" on my 97' base model w/2" coil spacers now so I'm gonna be getting 15x8 baja rims but I dont know whether to go with the Bfgs because they are loved by everyone but so are the Pro Comps. I found this deal for 31x10.5x15 Pro Comp Muds for only $350, opposed to the Bfg's (same size) but A/T's for $450 What should I do??? Any advice or what would you do?

Also, since I'm runnin 2" coil spacers in the front, how big can I go without rubbing?

i love my BFG's but i like the more aggressive look of the MTRs, i know the BFGs perform awesome, so wait for lee's opinion on the MTRs

true but mine were close to that size and ended up around $900

Yea dude....that would be the most expensive tire on earth....it's for a set of four. But the mud tires are Pro Comp not Bfg....thats what I'm wondering, anyone had any experience with them? I was reading that 5% of their tires are defective which makes me want to turn away. but their only $350!!!!

but it really depends on what you see... do you see a lot of mud and rocks?

Better deal with the 450 BFG's

Honestly, the BFG's might not do as good off road in the mud, they will on the rocks though. The BFG's will last you 45 - 60,000 miles where the pro-comps will only last you 25,000 miles tops. Thats the biggest difference between AT's and MT's. The MT's also need to be rebalanced more often and rotated more often as well. You can't beat the look but you can beat the hassle.

I've ran both tires in the past, go with the BFG's you won't regret it.

I ride on some mud....not a bunch, but mostly little rocks, not boulders or anything. Yea I know its a weird comparison...A/T to M/T but I was just wondering if I should pay less for M/Ts since their normally more and their awesome looking but I think im gonna stick with the bfg's. Its my daily driver and I dont want my mileage sucking horribly. Anyone know what the biggest size tire is that I can fit with 2" coil spacers in the front? (15" that is)

I would try 32-11.50's, BFG makes a 33-10.50 but I have not gotten good reviews on them.

Yea i saw the 32" & was interested but you really think I could fit that big w/o rubbing at all?? remember, the spacers would only be on the front suspension

i have the procomp MT's on my truck and i absolutely love them. they are bigger, about 33 x 12.5, but they have been awesome so far. i went wheeling in a foot of snow this weekend and they did awesome there. I have yet to have hydroplane with them and thats doing 70-75 in pouring rain with no problems. they are siped so wet traction is good. My truck is my DD and they do fine on the road. I have about 12k on the tires and they still look brand new, no chunking and the wear has been very even. i rotated them once, and need to do it again soon and they have only been balanced once, just when i first mounted them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. some hum from the tires but you will have that with any Mud tire. I have never used the BFG's on any of my rigs, but have wheeled with and know a lot of people that run them and love em. Can't go wrong either way really. Just really depends what kind of terrain you are gonna encounter.

and dude, you're only putting spacers for a lift in the front? are you keeping the rear stock? 32's will fit with stock suspension and rims. thats the biggest you can fit without lifting your runner.

yea right now Im only going with the fronts to see what it'll be like. Ive heard you can fit the 32" w/o spacers but just to be safe...cause I dont want any rubbing, even while offroading, Im gonna put them on. if it looks absolutely ridiculous Im gonna put them on the rears but ive heard the rear is higher right now anyways. plus, 11.5" sounds really wide....mines 9.5" right now.

I don't think there will be rubbing. Try your local tire dealer and have them test fit a 32". That will be the only way you'll know for sure. I have 265-75-r16's, which is pretty close to a 32" tire and I have no rubbing on stock rims and stock suspension on a 99' Runner.
