Help! Check Engine, VRC TRAC and VRC Off lights came on?

All of the lights come on sometimes and it does not mean that specific part is the problem. The codes will tell you.

no code given to me, but they said the back rear O2 sensor code came up. does denso make a good sensor?

and they cleared the CEL, now just vsc and vsc trac lights are up. going to try and do a zero calibration method and see if i can clear it.
on a side note. I had two corroded bolts on the liftgate regulator so i took it to a glass shop. Took 4 hrs to do completely...wow

but in another thread, it was noted that plugging an aftermarket (non-toyota) scanner will cause vsc lights to come on...

The only way I can see this happening is if you have a scanner hooked up to a '03-'04 4runner with the engine off and no external battery charger on the vehicle. It will pull the voltage on the battery down and reset the zero point calibration data on these models and then has to be relearned. Done it a few times on my own 4Runner with TIS scantool.
