HELP! Cornfed Install Question?

I'm installing the cornfed spacers in my '04 SR5 and got the back one in no problem. Now I'm stuck on the front. I was able to remove the coilover by sliding it down between the lower control arm and the steering linkage. But now, with the spacers installed it wont fit back in the way it came out. I've tried every orientation I can think but can't get it back into position. It's like some kind of damn puzzle.

Anyone else have this problem? How did you get around it?

I've tried calling the 'Tech Line' but it's later on the East coast so they're not answering.

Nevermind - I managed to figure it out after an hour or two of head-scratching. Ended up using the floor jack to raise the control arm as high as it would go and then threaded the coilover in from above. After that, it was just a matter of pushing/prying/wrestling the coilover into place. Man, what a chore.

Installing the rear spacers was a breeze. Installing the front was a nightmare. Still, beats paying someone to install them for me.

The ride is a little firmer but I kinda like that. Now I just need some burley tires.

Yup - 3 inches in front and 2 in back. Not a radical lift, but makes it look a little sportier and gives me room for bigger tires.
 
Lift looks great !!! I wish I had the balls to even do a front spacer lift myself.

Also more aggressive tires will look a world better. You can still only fit the same size tire as before the lift which is 265/70/17 ( fits on stock 4R ), if you go to a 285 series you will have to trim.

???? My stock tires were 265/65-17...

He is saying that snorto can still only fit the MAX size that he would have been able to fit before the lift. He is not saying that snorto did have 265/70's before, but that he could have put them on the stock 4R without the lift, and can put them on now. As far as jumping up to a 285, snort woud have problems because he is now increasing the width of the wheel, in which a lift obviously has no effect. :bigok:

You're all wrong! :D The stock tires on my rig are 265/70/16.

I'd like to go as big and aggro as possible without making major modifications. A little trimming is OK I guess but I don't want to be chopping off huge pieces of bumper. To be perfectly honest, it's more about the look than off-road performance for me.

I figure I could go with a 265/75/16 just fine but a 285/75/16 would probably rub. Is there such a thing as a 275/75/16?
