Help drivers door stuck shut

I believer the latch on my drivers door is stuck in the closed position. I pulled back the panel to access the cables. pulled on them and had no luck. what am i suspose to do? I searched and got nowhere...here is a pic for reference.

Pull the panel the rest of the way and get a flashlight in there. Are you sure the cables are connected to the latch? If you pulled on them and got nothing, I'd bet they aren't hooked on the latch.

I haven't had this issue on my 4th but I just fixed my 1st gen with a cheap clip from the dealer.

The one with the white is the lock and unlock part, hold the outer tight and pull the inside, it should make it go unlock, the green is the actual door latch release, so u might have to hold both tight enough to pull both the inside cable.

well it looks like the green one is disconnected at the latch.. problem is how do i get into the latch with the door shut?

I'm dumb. Of course you can't pull the panel the rest of the wag. The door is stuck shut. Sorry!

Can you hit the latch with a screw driver somewhere to get it open, then re connect?

im going to try that, but if that doesnt work looks like im damaging the inner door panel. out:

I had this happen on my passenger side. It was a nightmare.

You can get the door panel off with the door in the closed position. It is really hard to do. I was able to do it without messing up the panel.
