[Help] Finding + Locating Some Parts

I just replaced the power steering lower return hose (gear to cooler?) and ended up stumbling upon a thread about transmission cooler lines breaking. Since I live in MI, I just checked mine and they're corroded and I wanted to replace them before it does leak, I can only find the item for a v6, can anyone help me locate it for a v8? Also, could someone tell me where the power steering pressure line would be relative to the transmission oil cooler tube (above item)? I'm guessing it's near and wanted to take a look at it to see if I should just replace it. Thank you.

Hey AuSeeker, I was looking for the physical location of the power steering pressure hose on the vehicle. The part I cannot find online for a V8 is the one below (called the transmission cooler oil tube assembly), the seller says it's only for V6 4Runners and I just clicked through pretty much every subcategory in your link and couldn't find it.

Edit: Found out that it's compatible for V8 models too according to Toyota

What year model is your T4R, according to the part number at the link you posted in your first post that part/number when I searched it is not compatible with my 2004 V8 model?

Mine is an 03' 4Runner. I thought the part wasn't compatible either, but parts.toyota.com says it's compatible for V6 and V8 models if you click the link I edited in.

I would think it would be but at all the Toyota dealership parts websites it says it isn't, I think it must be something wrong with their parts program since most all of the dealerships use the same programing, the link I posted in my first reply is for the power steering parts you asked about.

As far as the tube assembly for the trans cooler, I would suggest you supply them with your vin number when ordering to be sure they send the correct part.

Can you find that parts diagram for a V8 model? Because I was unable to.

For the power steering pressure hose, I was asking where the physical location is on the 4Runner (i.e. is it close to the driver's side tie rod, cv axle, etc.), not for the part online.

No I wasn't able to to find the parts diagram for the V8 at any of the several Toyota dealership online parts websites I checked, all they show is the cooler and 2 rubber hoses, and when I searched the part number from the eBay link on the dealership parts sites it said it doesn't fit the V8, but if you change to the V6 it fits, that why I think they have an issue with the programing on the parts websites, I don't see any reason for them to have two different parts for the two engines when the trans cooler and transmissions are they same.

I don't know the located of the power steering line as I haven't had to mess with mine, that why I linked the parts diagram to see if seeing the parts expolded and the parts themselves would help you locate it.

Oh, I see, that's also what I ended up finding; I thought it was just me sucking at finding online parts. Yeah, I pulled up that diagram to see if I could locate it, but if no one knows exactly where it is, I'll just see if I can find a similar shaped hose underneath. Thanks.


Edit: Found it, it's right below the lower return hose where it connects to the rack. If anyone has replaced this pressure line before and has any tips, I'd appreciate it. It was annoying getting the old lower return hose out and putting the new one back in.
