Help.. It's lower intake time.....

Dose the pcv valve cove off the valve cover on this 3.4?

I'm about to cut this thing out if it doesn't come out unless it is non serviceable?

That's the PCV valve. Yes, they come out.

Someone chime in quick....

Blue how did you mistake calling it an egr. its the pcv. yeah it comes out. its only a $3 part they are generally bad and hard to get out because the rubber gasket goes hard and makes the it suck trying to get the pcv out.

Looks like this pcv valve replacement went downhill quick. :madgrin:

Well it started off with valve cover gaskets. I had a thought. Wonder if the lower intake needs love while I'm at it. Truck has 250k and never been replaced until now. So it's a runner love day.

All cleaned up.....

More cleaning... Looks like will have to change the oil also after all the crap flew all over the place and in the heads from the cleaning.

That's the worst part! The driver side VC gaskets sucked! That injector wires have that clack plastic harness over them and it cracked all to hell and I'm pretty sure some dropped down into mine. Somewhere in the oil pan there. [emoji16]

I say they were pretty much done...... I would have been mad as hell if I did this and skipped out on the lower. Be my luck a week later I would have had coolant in the oil.....
