[HELP] Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT LT E

Hi,

I recently bought these tires: Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT LT E / Studded | 265/70/17 for the winter and went to a tire shop to get them mount and install on my factory wheels, but the guy at the desk told me that they wouldn't install them on my 4Runner because it would break the ball joint and other stuff... I am not quite sure if he was right or not... This is why I ask for some help.

Horse pucky! Find another tire store.

This will be my third winter running Blizzaks.

A suggestion tho: get yourself another set of wheels (I bought FJC steelies off eBay) for your winter tires. The cost of the wheels is quickly justified vs the remounting and rebalancing each season. You can even DIY with a floor jack.

I think what they possibly meant was that the tires being a load range E would cause issues, but I think plenty of guys here are running load range E just fine so I wouldn't worry too much.
