7M-GTE if you really want power, use a 5mte clutch, the w56 transmission and housing with the clutch fork from the 7m housing and a 5m TO...ask me how I know

if you are serious abotu doing a 7m/5m swap check with supracharger.org, that guy is the KING of swaps into 1st/2nd gen 4runners (he did mine)

best thing to do is to find a manual that runs and drives and is totally rusted out you can get them for 800$ or so.

You can do the swap for on the cheep, find a supra thats been wrecked or out here in CA that can't pass smog and you can get it for under 600 bucks...


BUT...I will say this too, while I love my turbo beast, sometimes its TOO much power. Like in the rain, getting on the freeway, if I am not light on the go button, it will light up the rear in 4th gear and pull me sideways down the freeway. Ive even lit it up in 4Hi in the rain, all 4 wheels in 2nd gear spinning down the road.

o i solved that issue the ECU fried and took harness with it, i decided the body wasnt worth keeping around so i parted the truck out.
it would be drop the block in and go if your computer is good.
