Help me choose a radio for my 4th gen

Looking for a double din for my 4th gen, guys got ne advice or reviews? or a single if install is clean

You can't beat a Scion HU.They are built by Pioneer and put out 160 watts.If you go with the 1809,it has RCA outputs,makes it easy to add a sub.These units are also plug and play.Takes less than 30 minutes to change them.

I have read about people using them, is it just a HU out of a scion? I am looking for something I can hook my ipod up 2

I just installed a T1809 in my 04. Sounds great, install was about an hour, I was care full...

You need to plug a cable to the back of the head unit for the ipod, about $20 on ebay. The steering controls, if you have them, work with the T1809. For the ipod only the volume on the steering wheel will work, all the rest of the controls will have to come from the ipod. For a little over a $100 a very nice upgrade.

I dont have the steering wheel controls, where does the cable for the ipod run to/from if it hooks to the back of the unit?

There is a slot in the back of the unit... THe link is the one I bought mine from. The photo of the back of the unit, bottom left corner is where the ipod cable plugs in.

Some said the ipod would not charge when plugged in, mine charges.

I would recommend the Pioneer AVH P3200BT. Bluetooth, iPod compatible, USB, etc.
