Help me figure out this sound!

Hey guys, can you lend some wisdom and help me figure out this out? So, I've developed a new sound, a hollow knocking sound from the rear passenger side. It happens over smaller bumps. It started after I installed new springs on the rear (5th gen 4R to Dobinson 505). I have 5100's on the rear, and they've been on there for about a year now. The only things I touched when installing the new springs were the top nuts on the shocks, and the swaybar end links. What is causing this noise!?!?

Things I've checked/done: I checked all the bolts for the rear suspension, and replaced the track bar as the bushings looked really worn. The trackbar reduced the knocking, but it's still there (this is what really confuses me). I've triple checked that the springs are seated correctly, and that the shocks/top nuts are all installed properly and centered in the mounting hole. I also disconnected the swaybar endlinks and did a very short/slow test drive and the noise was still there - so it's not the sway bar.

Any other ideas?

Are any of the coils resting on each other? is it a metallic sound?
I had a noise issue where the coils were actually hitting each other under compression.

I know you said they're installed properly/centered, but are the nuts on the top of the shock bolted down tight enough?

i have the same issue with my recently installed ome in the rears. the top bolts were at the top of the treads. will see how it clicks tommorow and report back.

that was it. the top nuts needed to be tightened down more on my rear shocks. noise is gone!

Thanks for the ideas guys! I just got back from a trip and now the noise is gone. I need to check under the truck to make sure it's all looking good - but hopefully it fixed itself.
