Help me figure out what this noise is.

I know its hard to tell without having the truck in front of you. Im hoping someone has had the same problem.

I didnt add any commentary to the video because I figured I could explain everything here. The noise in question is the slight knock/rattle sound. My phone picked up on the other engine noises a lot more that you can hear in person. It runs really smooth other than this mystery noise. The rattle sound is a lot more evident in person.

Im convinced its coming from the AC compressor. It doesnt change with RPM, doesnt go away when warmed up, its NOT a heat shield or anything loose, same noise whether the AC is on or off, and goes away 100% when the belt is removed. So Im positive its something in that area. I just replaced my idler pulleys about a month ago. None of the pulleys make noise when spinning them by hand, and all are very smooth.

Any ideas?

Sounds like bad bearing in AC, PS pump, alternator or the fan clutch is bad.
Does noise change when moving the steering wheel? I think it is alternator or fan clutch.

Those are what I have it narrowed down to. I think its the AC compressor clutch bearing personally. I was just hoping someone else had the same problem already.

Should have invested $9 in a mechanics stethoscope a long time ago. It was the lower idler pulley. Of course the one I didnt change out when doing the rest. It didnt replicate the same sound through the stethoscope but sounded horrible, and was MUCH louder than everything else.

Replaced it and all is well. Now I feel re****ed..for losing faith in the ol Toyota! Thought it was gonna be a more expensive fix.

I just noticed an odd/similar sound coming from mine this morning... but when I turned the steering wheel the sound would pause/stop, come back, etc.

What problem does that indicate... if the noise changes when moving the steering wheel?

Power Steering pump. Id check the cleanliness of the fluid, and make sure its topped off. It could also be the pulley/bearing, if its a noise similar to mine.

I cant imagine it has any issues then.
