Help me find a Hilux Surf Spare Tire Swing Away!

I need help from anyone and everyone. I'm looking for the spare tre swing away from a Hilux Surf...anyone have one? Anyone know someone who does? Anyone know where to get one? My Canadian friends?

Does it need to be a 3rd gen, or would a 2nd gen one work for you as well? 3rd gens just became admissable here in Canada in the last few months, you won't find any in wreckers yet.

Shipping would be a killer, but there's lots of guys wrecking 3rd gens in the UK:

Liny also the issue you will have from putting a Hilux swing away on our trucks is all the reinforcing you will have to do to that corner piece. Our Market vehicles don't have the additional sub structure there for it to be properly supported. Wish I could help on a source. I hate to say this to a Veteran member but search as I know this thread has come up a few times and I think someone listed a source in one of them.

I know this isn't what you are asking...but you would be much better off going with a rear bumper/tire carrier. I bet you will end up spending close to that on the Surf carrier and you will still have your stock rear bumper

I am aware of the reinforcement needed- there's a thread on YT

That thread is a dead end- they don't ship to the US

The CBI bumper with swing away is close to $1600 to my door. I refuse to pay that much.

PLUS I'm a sucker for anything JDM

More input on sources and less talking me out of it please...

It's posts like this that bother me. Since when did T4R become every other forum with Search police? I spend 20x more time on this forum because at one time this was a friendly and helpful forum. I've been a member here almost 5 years, I know when and how to search.
I've done much posting here over the years and I'd like to think the majority of my posts were friendly, informative and helpful. I think I- no, all of the members here deserve the same respect.

Liny- There are few people on here that tell others to Search and sometimes aren't nice about it. I am not one of them and when I do tell someone to search I also answer the question. Mainly because in some of the other threads there might be more usefull information. If you noticed I did the search and posted the Link for the thread/ information I remembered being covered in the past. Wether or not it was a Dead end I was not aware. I also provided input as to some of the other modifications you would need to do in order to make it work.

I know that thread on YT about the installed Hilux rear tire carrier, I remember posting wanting one too for myself. so you will also be getting the tailgate itself because of the latch/lock mechanism for the swing-away i bet.

Seems like JohnsD90 found you one already, but I'll keep a look-out around here in case.
