Rusting Sunroof with Pics

2020 - Long time lurker/1st time poster ..... Jumping into this thread to see if I could get some advice and can't start a new thread because new member. '03 4runner sunroof/passenger A pillar that just started leaking when going thru high powered car wash. Right passenger side corner of sunroof severely rusted plus the sunroof doesn't sit flush with the roof. Car is used to just haul dogs around and run errands around town. I don't want to spend money to replace because I never use the sunroof anyways. Do you think filling the space between the roof and sunroof and caulking all around will fix the leaking?

If you clean all the area really well, making sure it's dry and seal it very well on the outside with silicone and making sure it has at least 24 hours to cure before it gets wet again it should stop the leak, IHMO

Another more temporary solution
Clean well and do some gorilla tape
