Help me identify this part #

I am now convinced the parts guy at "my" dealership is brain-dead. OK, I know he doesn't know every Toyota part for every vehicle by heart, but at least know how to find the stuff!!!!

So, I decided I wanted to paint my grille on my 2000 4Runner SR5. After I started taking it off, I noticed that there were a couple of pieces missing. They are the metal clips that the grille clips into in a few of the spots. I have circled the "white" metal piece in the two pictures it's there (the one I had left), and circled the spot where it should be in the last pic.

It appears to actually be a part of the headlight structure, but I couldn't find it in my online searches.

I'd be eternally grateful if someone could help me!

That is part of the headlight as an assembly. It would be like trying to get the knob to the radio or the buckle to the seat belt.


You should be able to get that part from a junk yard.

Ugh....not what I wanted to hear, but it does appear you are correct...did some googling for the headlight assembly itself and I do see them on there.

Thanks, Singtoe. This aftermarket one is only $45...not too bad, if I had to go with a new one. (x2, of course, since I need the other side as well...3 out of the 4 were missing.)

I have a busted headlight that I could check and see if it has the clip left.
