Help me source this part for 2015 Trail Roof Console

Hi All,

I just picked up my 2015 super white T4R Trail and wasn't sure if it came with homelink installed in the upper console. It turns out there are 3 versions of the upper console for the trail. See attached pics.

I'd like the one with the homelink buttons and the light control button but not the sunroof controls (as I don't have a sunroof).

1. How do I source this panel? Neither I nor my local parts guy can find it?
2. Will it work? Does anybody have this panel in their truck?

In the pictures below, the first one is what I have. The second one is what I want. And the third one is the version with the sunroof controls, I don't want that one either.

I cannot answer your question directly. I doubt seriously however, that your desire for homelink will be as simple as swapping the panel. I say this because I have seen posted many, many, times that all 4Rs are wired specifically, and uniquely, to the oem configuration. I don't know where the transmitter is located, but to assume it is included in that panel, is just that.

My wife's new Accord (amazingly) did not include homelink - un-effing-believable! So I just bought a remote to clip on her visor. Bam! done - not elegant, but fast, easy, cheap, no issues.
 
I just read a couple posts about the roof consoles that make me believe maybe the middle picture console I'm looking for was for 2014 base model trails only.

Would be great if someone could verify.

Same here. My base 14 TE has pic/version number 1.

Know that's not terribly helpful but maybe help you narrow down what models came with what.

I think the console you are looking for is only available in the Trail Premium.

I looked on autotrader at several 4Runners for sale, and found the console in a Trail Premium.

example :Cars for Sale: 2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail Premium in Saint Joseph, MO 64506: Sport Utility Details - 399993217 - Autotrader


I also looked at a few online parts dealers, they do not list the Trail or SR5 premium as models, so they only list 1 console.

Looks like the trail model without the homelink and with sunroof is part 8126035680B0 at toyotapartsdirect, and runs $941

Wow, thanks for doing all the searching! But I think we may be miscommunication. I'm looking for the middle picture in my original post which is WITH homelink and WITHOUT sunroof.

I'm going to putz around toyota parts direct. That looks like a great resource.

That price is CRAZY! ok, maybe time to look at other options...

I would love to get ahold of version 2. I think I could fit three AOB switches in there. I'm out of spots for my switches haha

Sorry for the miscommunication, I looked for the console WITH Homelink and WITHOUT the sunroof, and I was unable to find a part #. I listed the part #, and price to give a starting price /part#.

Interesting part is, for the SR5, they list multiple consoles, some for 2wd, some for 4wd then of course with and without the sunroof. But for the Trail, they only list 1.

x2 it will be much easier and will still look OEM, plus get the added benefit of an auto dimming mirror. You might be able to get all the parts necessary for the panel, but at what cost? BTW, panel #2 will be for a pre 2014 4Runner, as you can't have homelink without sunroof controls on the 14+ 4Runners.

x3, If you go this route you also have the option to hook it up to ignition (it will only work when the key is on) and not have it constant on like the factory ones are (stupid design and open invitation to crooks). You may have the option to wire the factory part differently but I know the Highlander's are all wired internally which will not allow for the wiring to be changed, a friend and I took his apart and had no luck.

Seeing all of these pics at once, does anyone know what the switch blank directly above the Multi-Terrain selector is used for? All three of these differing models don't have a button there, and it is baffling me and my search of keywords...
